Our Vision

Collecting phenological records has become recognized as an issue high importance. In order to effectively monitor the potential impact of climate change on organisms within the natural environment, long term records are essential.

The main vision of this project was to set up a long term monitoring network of phenological events on the University of Reading campus. To stored records for long term data analysis, enabling conclusions to eventually be drawn regarding climate change impacts on organisms present within the campus.

This website is also aimed to act as a platform to engage people, staff and students both on campus and within the wider community, to increase their understanding and interest in their natural environment and phenology as a whole.
